A fantastic value peanut feeder, the feeder features, quick release components for easy cleaning and a 'click top' for easy refilling. The galvanised feeding tube will ensure it will last and it can be used with other Chapelwood accessories.
This is great starter feeder for feeding wild birds, it is big enough to accommodate 4 - 6 small birds at one time, if you have squirrels in your area you might want to consider a squirrel proof feeder (Please see the images above for squirrels that have visited this feeder).
Our Opinion *****
This is a great starter feeder and superb value for money, we have rated this feeder 4 our of 5 stars, the click top is exactly that, it clicks off using a latch and clip system which works well, as you will see from the images above attracting wildlife is not a problem.
The galavanised feeding tube has proved to be squirrel resistant and by this we mean that the squirrels dont seem to be able to destroy any parts of the feeder but can obviously still access the food, the feeder is not squirrel proof.
Squirrels are very strong and will chew through most things if the incentive is there, the mesh and the feeder itself has withstood the testing of a very hungry squirrel who would just not leave the feeder alone.
What can you feed?
You can feed basically anything that wont fall through the mesh feeding tube which is actually quite a lot. Why not add suet pellets, sunflower seeds or fruit to vary the differing foods and attract a wider range of birds to your garden.
Where to position your bird feeder?
This is a quite difficult question to answer and it of course really depends a lot on the layout of your garden, generally it will always be be best to place feeders in a quiet area of the garden, somewhere that makes it it difficult or impossible for cats and other predators to access.
Always try and give the birds you are looking to attract a clear line of sight, feeding stations are a good solution as you can position them in an open space easily which decreases the opportunities available to would be predators.

The reason I bought this feeder was because I was fed up with other makes where I had to use tools to take the feeder apart to clean it, this feeder however seems to be the answer to my prayers, although I must admit to it being very plasticly and would have to go really easy taking it apart to clean it incase it cracked.
